"Alive"

"Alive" was inspired by my first backpacking trip at Boundary Waters in Northern Minnesota. The trip was difficult, and it pushed me further than I thought I could go. Whether I was thinking about my extremely sore muscles and the blisters on my feet or the calmness of the water and waking up to the howls of wolves, all I could think about was how thankful I was to be alive. This painting was recreated from a photo I took while on the trip.
