“Chickasaw” - print

Chickasaw: Silhouetted against a glowing sunset, Chickasaw captures the quiet majesty of windmills standing tall. This piece is a meditation of the rhythm and repetition of the turning, steady, and unhurried blades in the still countryside. 

Inspiration story: Inspired and titled after a county near my hometown in Iowa. The windmill project that went up in Chickasaw county in 2024, was managed and constructed by Blattner Energy. My wife, who worked at Blattner during this time, happened to be assigned to the "Chickasaw" energy project team. While driving home to visit family, we drive past this site every trip, normally hitting the area around sunset. Making this place not just a landmark, but a shared, coincidental memory.
